offers a comprehensive range of funeral policies, with special benefits for policyholders who make use of AVBOB Funeral Services for the burial of all lives covered under the policy.
AVBOB Funeral Services
offers a one-stop, affordable funeral service through a countrywide network of professionally run funeral parlours.
AVBOB Industries
based in Bloemfontein and Rustenburg, manufactures a quality range of coffins, wreaths, funeralware and tombstones for the funeral industry.
Our Commitment
The AVBOB group acknowledges that the majority of our population, due to the past dispensation, has been denied the opportunity to participate meaningfully in the mainstream economic activities of our country. We therefore believe it is our responsibility to contribute to the promotion of the economic empowerment of previously disadvantaged individuals to ensure the achievement of a better life for all. We are therefore comitted to increasing the participation of these individuals in all levels of our business.
We also realize our social responsibility role in nation building and the upliftment of all South Africans. We are therefore committed to economic transformation wereby all South Africans are meaningfully integrated into the economy.
AVBOB was established in Bloemfontein in 1921 and has since grown into a billion rand Burial Society rendering services of the highest quality to the full spectrum of Society in Southern Africa.
As a Mutual Society, AVBOB is owned by its policyholders which to date exceeds 1.2 million.
