FREENET CABLING SYSTEMS Convincing answers to tomorrow's standards .... The Generic
Cabling Systems forms your basis for a All work areas
are precabled so that a homogeneous interface is available at all connection points. The transmission medium consists of twisted pair
copper cables or fiber optic cables. A Generic
Cabling System can quickly be amortized, which makes a significant cost saving
contribution. All network equipment
operating systems with different protocols can be integrated. Based on class
D, E, F or FO Link, data and voice applications as well as applications as well as
applications for building service automation (broadband video) will all be supported. Generic Cabling The advantages
are obvious: Internationally standardized interfaces (on the patch panel and
telecommunication outlets). Todays
Generic Cabling Standards If the
recommendations of the standards are followed in the planning and implementations of
Generic Cabling Systems, full compatibility with existing and future network equipment is
assured. They also define performance
requirements of individual links. Cabling standards Status in
December 1998: Category 5 was introduced four years ago for cables and connection modules. Gigabit-Ethernet transmission by copper cables is
on the starting blocks. The existing cable
network may not be sufficient to handle this four pair transmission mode. Up to now, Ethernet and Fast-Ethernet were run on
two pairs of category 5 cables. The existing
parameters were sufficient. However, for
Gigabit-Ethernet new parameters such as EL-FEXT, Delay-Skew etc. are needed. These values
will be incorporated into a newly revised version of Standards EN50173, ISO/IEC 11801 and
EIA/TIA. This will be the new Category 5 or
Class D in terms of the transmission channel. Existing
R&M FreeNet components will easily attain this new Class 5 enhanced
standard. A reassuring feeling for all
R&M FreeNet users. No system dependence A generic
cabling system us based on the Open System Connectivity concept and therefore
supports hardware and protocols made by different suppliers. A generic cabling system is the infrastructure for
present and future networks. R&M FREENET - We are meeting the needs and requirements for a modern cabling
infrastructure. Cabling Systems, their design and development is our business. R&M
have focused on this market for more than 30 years. What can you expect from R&M freenet RJ45 Patch Panels We design and build solutions in both copper and fiber.
