A cost-effective general purpose microprocessor card

GemClub-Micro is an easy-to-use microprocessor card with advanced loyalty functions that has been developed for loyalty card applications. GemClub-Micro cards can also be used in many other types of applications, including coupon schemes, stored-value cards, private electronic purses, metering (e.g., measuring consumption of gas or electricity), customer identification etc.

The product range includes:

GemClub-Micro 1K cards with 1 kilobyte of EEPROM memory,

GemClub-Micro EMV cards—cards that are EMV compatible (part 1 & 3).

Technical Features

GemClub-Micro has a flat file structure. This means that all the files in GemClub-Micro are all located at the same level as below:

GemClub-Micro cards send and receive data under the T=0 communication protocol in compliance with the ISO 7816-3 standard. GemClub-Micro also offers high speed communication - at either 9,600 or 115,200 baud.

GemClub-Micro manages enhanced loyalty objects. A specific counter structure is available for storing points. This counter structure allows you to keep track of customer behavior by managing auxiliary counters (cumulative counter, visit counter). Validity dates can also be used to control the award or redemption of points. For greater efficiency, the counter structure is modular. GemClub-Micro can also manage loyalty rules. These rules are stored in the card, allowing the card to compute the number of points to be awarded or redeemed to or from counters.

Record files can be used for data management. The data is stored in records and can easily be accessed.

GemClub-Micro also provides high-strength security. 3DES keys can be used to protect access to sensitive data. Electronic signatures can also be issued for transaction verification (by the host system). PIN or secret codes can also be implemented.

GemClub-Micro is also compatible with the EMV standard (part 1 & 3). GemClub-Micro is accepted by EMV terminals. GemClub-Micro cards can store magstripe images using the "easy entry" method.
