Starting as a digital copier, the 3220 is a modular communications solution that utilises the latest business technology to meet all your copy, print and fax communication requirements. This, together with an exceptionally small footprint, makes the 3220 ideal for the busy work environment. From a stand alone copier right through to a networked document communications centre, the 3220 is the complete solution. Digital Copier With its unique, open fronted design and small, space-saving footprint, the new Gestetner 3220 copier brings you all the benefits of digital technology. As a 20cpm copier, the 3220's ease of operation, wide range of image manipulation features and choice of performance enhancing options open up a new dimension in copying quality, flexibility and reliability. Quality, Speed And Paper Size Digital image processing technology produces superb copy quality, The 3220 copies at 20cpm and handles from A6 to A3 size paper. Electronic Sorting With the image stored in memory, the first set of copies is completed in one run and the next set is rotated through 90°. This continuous process delivers up to 99, alternate offset copy sets straight into the output tray for quick, convenient handling, without the need for a traditional sorter. Copy Modes To ensure superb reproduction, whatever the original, the 3220 has a choice of original copy modes, Letter Mode for purely text or solid images, Letter/Photo for combined text and photographic originals and Photo Mode for purely photographic or graphic copies. Automatic Image Rotation Once scanned and stored, the image can be rotated automatically through 90°, so originals do not have to be positioned on the platen in the same direction as the sheets in the paper trays. This eliminates waste caused by operator mistakes. High Paper Capacity & Duplexing As standard, the 3220 has 2 x 250-sheet front loading paper drawers and a 100-sheet bypass tray. An optional 2 x 500-sheet paper bank takes the 3220 up to a total capacity of 1600 sheets. An easily replaceable duplex tray is also available for automatic double-sided copying. Automatic Tray Switching For long, continuous copy runs, when one paper tray is empty the 3220 automatically switches to the next tray. The empty tray can then be refilled without interrupting the copy run. Image Editing In addition to a 25%-400% zoom range, the 3220 has many other digital editing features, including repeat copying, edge/border erase, combine originals, double copy and image overlay.
