Q. Can I call from South Africa using the Global
Calling Card?
A. The Global Calling Card is intended for the international traveler, and as
such we do not recommend that you use the Card from South Africa. Should you need to
use your card from South Africa, it will however work as usual.
Q. Am I always able to make calls to South Africa?
A. Some countries have imposed restrictions on where calls may be placed to.
Please check your access guide or call customer service should you have any queries in
this regard.
Q. Where in Africa is it possible to use my Calling
Card?
A. We are actively increasing our coverage of Africa. Currently service is
available from South Africa, Botswana, Mauritius, Ghana, Gambia, Sierra Leone and Egypt.
Q. What phone do I need to use?
A. Virtually any phone will work, e.g.: payphones, card phones, hotel phones
etc. Some countries require you to insert coins or credit card. Please check
your access guide for more details. Unfortunately access is not possible from aeroplane or
ship phones.

Q. What are the charges for calls?
A. Global One offers competitive calling rates from around the world,
minimizing excessive hotel surcharges and up to 50% saving on international cellular
roaming rates. Please contact Global One in South Africa on (011) 444 4248 for
updated call charges prior to departure.
Q. Are there any activation, ongoing or minimum
monthly charges?
A. No, the Global Calling Card is free of charge with no activation,
ongoing or minimum monthly charges.
Q. What currency are calls charged in and what
exchange rate is applicable?
A. Call charges are specified and detailed in US dollars. At the end of the
users billing period the total amount due will be converted to Rands by the credit
card company at the applicable exchange rate.

Q. How long will it take to receive my Global Calling
Card?
A. You should receive your Global Calling Card within 4-6 weeks after the
receipt if your application.
Q. What happens if I need a Global Calling Card in a
rush?
A. Please mark on the application form that you require the Global Calling Card
urgently and we should be able to issue your Global Calling card number within days. You
do not need to have the Global Calling Card in your possesion to make a call.
Q. How many cards can be linked to my Global
One account?
A. You can have up to four Global Calling Cards linked to your Global One
Account, which in turn is linked to your credit card.
Q. What happens if my card is lost or stolen?
A. You should report this to Global One customer services via the
toll-free number for the country that you are in or to your nearest Global One
office. To avoid any inconvenience. A replacement Global Calling Card
can be issued immediately.
