Causes of Hearing Loss in:

1. The Outer Ear
Excessive accumulation of earwax and infections of the auditory canal eg, Swimmers Ear

2. The Middle Ear
Infection or fluid in the middle ear
The calcification of the oscisles (tiny bones) in the ear.

3. The Inner Ear
Damaged inner ear structures.
Natural aging process
Excessive exposure to noise
Medication that is toxic to the auditory system
Head injuries

As a rule, this damage cannot be reversed but can be largely overcome with Hearing Instruments.
