Mukhtar Hiring Services was founded by the late Hadji Ismail Ali Karbary. Karbary fulfilled a requirement of the community when a hiring services company was founded to cater to their needs. When the hiring company was founded in 1958, Mr. Karbary Snr. named the company after Mukhtar, the only son at the time.
When the demand for the hiring company's services increased and the items on hire were insufficient, the son, Mukhtar was consulted.Since 1966, Mukhtar has been at the helm of the Mukhtar Hiring Services Company. In the 1960's when there were only 500 chairs available for hire there was a lot of running around to do between functions. Today, Mukhtar does not need to develop ulcers over the lack of chairs as there are in excess of 14000 chairs, not counting the different types also available.
Mukhtar, the present chief at the helm of Mukhtar Hiring Services constantly seeks to improve the range of items on offer. Besides, seeing to the day to day running of the hiring company, there are many other issues which he has to attend to, i.e. ethics and morals of running a hiring business catering to the needs of a multi facetted society, like the one we live in, here in Cape Town. Mukhtar has researched these subjects extensively, seeking advice and knowledge from Cape Town to (Al Azhar) Egypt, from Arabia to Malaysia, to the Americas, to England, etc. etc.
Note: the quest for knowledge began at home, Cape Town and stretched towards the North and across the seas and mountains, far and beyond - all in the name of a company called, Mukhtar Hiring Services.
The founder, the late Hadji Ismail Ali Karbary started this company with very humble beginnings and humble, it will remain. No customer is turned away because of the size of the order or the disposition of the person. There is no minimum quantity set on any of the items for hire. Your clientele is appreciated very much - and this is no idle talk! |
