Akhanani Electromechanical Engineering is positioned as a specialised multi-disciplinary Engineering, Lifting and Materials Handling company to the Mining, Power Generation, Chemical, Oil, Gas and Industrial Sectors throughout Southern Africa, with the Head Office and Fabrication Works located in Alrode, south of Johannesburg.

Akhanani is the appointed and accredited Area Distributor of VERLINDE Lifting Equipment-France, who have over 150 years existence in the design and manufacture of an extensive range of world class Cranes, Hoists and Lifting Equipment.

Akhanani’s local know-how and experience in this field is partnered by VERLINDE-France International Product Technology utilising their unique EUROPONT Electric Overhead Travelling Crane Computer Programme to generate speedy and accurate quotations and drawings to customer specifications.

The company’s equipment range covers Double and Single Girder Cranes, Portal Cranes, Container Cranes, Jib Cranes, Electric Wire Rope and Chain Hoists, Winches, Explosive Proof and Spark Proof Electric Cranes and Hoists and a complete range of below-hook lifting accessories from our partner, Crosby Group Inc. complements the extensive product range, affording Akhanani the opportunity to meet virtually every lifting requirement.

Projects and Engineering

Akhanani’s Project and Engineering Division has the required expertise and experience to design and implement turnkey solutions from concept design to commissioning for Structural, Civil, and Electrical Engineering projectS together with allied Material Handling Solutions. These include Crane Gantries,Fabricated Steel Buildings, Building Foundations, Concrete Bases, Electrical Reticulation, VS Drives, Power and Control Panels.

Field Service and Maintenance

Akhanani has a well organised Service Division where a team is on 24/7 standby to assist customers country-wide with support for breakdowns, repair, service and maintenance.

A fleet of fully equipped service vehicles is at the team’s disposal to ensure that customers have access to Akhanani’s full support services.
