Fernlink 2000 Ltd are frequently asked for some sort of "Certificate of Compliance" to prove that the Millenium BIOS Boards (the MBB I and MBB II) are year 2000 compliant. This is impossible to do, since the Boards themselves are not Y2K compliant, nor for that matter, are they Y2K non-compliant. Fernlink 2000 Ltd does, however, make an "EXPRESS WARRANTY" that the MBB I or MBB II, when inserted into a non-compliant PC will make that PC 100% Year 2000 Compliant. Of course, the non-compliant BIOS must have been written following the standard BIOS conventions, and the PC must be what is commonly called an "IBM clone". that is, a PC based on an Intel or a 100% compatable CPU.

What is an extraordinary feature of our Year 2000 products is that the customer need not believe our warranty, since they can test our products for themselves. They can install either of our Boards into a PC, set the system date to 31 December 1999, and run the PC continuously until the year 2000 actually arrives. There cannot be many other products in existance that gives the purchaser such a long testing period. Additionally, the Fernlink 2000 R&D team has examined most, if not all, products currently on the market, which perport to "Certify" that any product is "Y2K Compliant". We have yet to find that any of these products match, let alone exceeds, the high standard of technical excellence found in our own testing software, FPRO2000.
